About Me
King Mike's journey as a movement artist began at the tender age of 8 when he immersed himself in the vibrant dance culture of Baltimore, starting as a Baltimore club dancer. It was during these formative years that he discovered popping and fell in love with its mesmerizing style, embarking on a journey of mastery that he continues to display today.
His deep-rooted connection to the origins and grit of his hometown Baltimore makes him a one-of-a-kind mover and master of his style. From these early beginnings, King Mike has honed his craft, becoming a globally recognized figure in street dance, waving, robotic movement, Story telling and choreography.
His influence spans from captivating performances at events like Ted Talks to collaborative projects such as Black Magic with the company Control Freakz. He has also showcased his talent as a dancer in Emmy award-winning choreography by Jon Boogz on Starz networks “BlindSpotting” and as a dancer on the Astrada award-winning show “Will Trent” on Disney network choreographed by Danielle and Lance Guiellmo. Additionally, he has directed his own movement art short films, including "Text Tango," and showcased his acting skills in films such as "Mother thy Sober." With appearances in commercials such as LG, King Mike continues to leave an indelible mark on stage and screen, inspiring audiences worldwide.
Beyond his mastery of movement, he is celebrated as a creative visionary, innovator, and trendsetter in fashion embodying an ethos of unparalleled aesthetics.
